Sustainability

We are on a continuous journey to sustainability and are always looking at new ways to reduce our carbon footprint and minimise our environmental impact.

OUR JEWELLERY

All of our jewellery is either made-to-order or made in small batches in our home studio in New Zealand. This allows us to create meaningful and artistic jewellery that genuinely excites and inspires us, rather than over-manufacturing.

Some of our jewellery is made from recycled metals that come straight from the jeweller’s bench. Any sawing, filing and grinding creates sparkling dust that can be refined, remelted and reused. This is also the same for wax! We collect any wax carvings and scraps so they can be melted and reused again like new.

SUPPORT LOCAL

The ancient technique of lost wax casting is used to create our jewellery. We are dedicated to collaborating with local skilled artisans and tradespeople to bring our creations to life. This includes outsourcing our casting as well as crafting components such as our hoops and necklace chains.

Bee Friendly! We support our local beekeepers by bulk buying NZ beeswax to create some of the jewellery, lubricate our tools, and also our make own candles. These candles are used to heat our tools to shape our wax models, providing a more sustainable alternative to paraffin candles or alcohol lamps, as they emit fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs), plus they smell yummy in our studio!

WARRANTY

We believe in our jewellery and so should you! In the rare event there is a fault with your jewellery, we offer a 1 year warranty period to fix or replace your piece. For more information about our warranty, please see here.

PACKAGING

Our mailer bags are biodegradable and carefully packaged with honey-comb paper wrap to keep your jewellery safe during shipping. Our jewellery boxes are made from cardboard with a biodegradable logo sticker. We also reuse packaging where available, most often used when sending our wax models to our local casting house.
